Equestrian Essence

Lately it seems like I have been seeing a lot more equestrian-inspired art in design. Normally that wouldn't really be my thing, but in these settings, I really like the look.  Check it out:

House Beautiful

What do you think of this look?

So agree Barbara, horses are everywhere and especially in art, they are bigger than ever. I love horses and having been a former rider, love this trend. The examples you showed are just beautiful, that one in the dining room with the yellow chairs makes a real statement!

there is a lot of equestrian floating around the blogsphere...so many of us grew up around horses and their images migrated into our homes...
I'm especially interested in the old paintings of equestrians as well...

My husband would love that huge piece from House Beautiful. He loves art. Something that wonderful he would not be able to resist.

Hi Barbara! I love equestrian art. I posted a few weeks again about an oversized painting of a cow in a kitchen. Love your blog and your style. Take Care,Heather

Horses don't really do it for me, maybe because the one time I rode at summer camp the horse was "bad" and took off in a run when the trainer told it to walk! Great idea for a post, though!
